FRANKIE & FREDDIE

These lovely boys are both one year old and are best buddies! Frankie (brown coat) is inquisitive, friendly, and sweet. Freddie (lilac coat) is a little shy but warms up to you after he gets acclimated and is shown some love! Freddie was rescued from a pet store where they had difficulty selling him. He is missing two toes on one foot, but this doesn't slow him down at all (and he was likely born that way)! When Freddie came to us, we knew he needed a friend. Frankie and his outgoing personality helped little Freddie come out of his shell and helped us to see his sweet little personality. Both boys love cuddles and would make a lovely addition to any home!

PUMPKIN & SPICE

Pumpkin and Spice are a dashing, bonded male pair in search of a loving forever home! Pumpkin is 1 1/2 years old, while his pal Spice is one year old. Pumpkin is extremely relaxed and easy-going. He also loves to be pet and cuddled. Spice is curious, explorative and has some spunk to his little personality! They make for a very complementary team, and would be a wonderful addition to any home. Pumpkin has a medium-length coat, which requires a small amount of maintenence (just a hair trim every once in awhile to keep his rump clean and tidy!).

JUNIOR & JACKSON

This father/son duo is outrageously cute and looking for a forever home!

BASIC SUPPLIES
  1. PELLETS
We recommend Oxbow Essentials adult guinea pig pellets. You can find these at Chewy.com, Petsmart, and Chuck & Don's. An unlimited amount of pellets are usually okay when also supplemented with timothy hay and veggies.
  2. TIMOTHY HAY
Provide your guinea pig with an unlimited quantity of fresh timothy hay every day. Guinea pigs need continuous access to hay to aid their digestion and limit the growth of their teeth.
  3. FOOD DISH
Opt for a ceramic food dish rather than a plastic one. Ceramic dishes are sturdy, chew-resistant, and difficult to overturn. Look for a wide, shallow bowl. Wash the bowl with soapy water, rinse and dry thoroughly during cage cleaning.
  4. WATER BOTTLE
Look for a water bottle with a ball-tipped nozzle to avoid leaking.
  5. HIDEAWAYS
By nature, guinea pigs are prey animals, and they need hiding places to make them feel safe. You can find a plethora of options ranging from wooden houses, to fuzzy tunnels, to homemade solutions. One hideaway per pig.
  6. BEDDING
Lay fleece fabric on top of U-Haul moving pads (two sets of each fabric). Fleece is available at craft stores, or, check out pre-made options at guineapigmarket.com. We recommend fleece because it saves on cost, work, and is washable.
  7. NAIL CLIPPER
Nail clippers that you already have at home should do the trick. Be careful when snipping not to break your piggy's skin!
  8. TREATS (OPTIONAL)
Your pig will be perfectly happy with high-quality pellets, hay, and veggies (with occasional fruit). For a special chewy snack, stuff a small cardboard tube with fresh hay or mix rolled oats into your guinea pig's pellets.
  9. VEGGIES
Fresh vegetables can be offered once a day and should be equivalent to about one cup total per guinea pig per day. Leafy greens like romaine lettuce, spinach, kale, or parsley should comprise the bulk of your pig's fresh produce.
WE DO NOT RECOMMEND THE FOLLOWING ITEMS:

Balls or wheels for exercise
Harnesses
Vitamin C drops for water
Yogurt treats
Salt blocks
Cedar bedding (can be toxic)
Hay balls
Racks (one is provided with your cage)
